Summer is near and we’re all on the fence about what this one will hold. With the world on pause and cities moving at their own pace (gradually reopening), we can’t help to think about our first day out looks. When you’re keeping it casual and still want to make a statement, denim is always a great option. In this post I will be sharing 5 types of denim you need to in your wardrobe to own this summer.
Bell Bottom Flare
My all-time favs. Flare jeans have summer written all over it. They are a little dramatic but gives any look just enough sass. This style denim is perfect for festivals, concerts, brunch, practically any daytime activity when your guaranteed to be seen. Most often styled in boho looks (see below) they also look amazing with simple off-the-shoulder shirts of wrap blouses.
Ok. I know I said flare was my fav but lately I’ve been falling head over heels for the straight leg looks. They are so effortless and classy and not to mention versatile. With this style denim I usually prefer them high-waisted because they highlight my long legs and slim statue. When going for this style it is important to make sure that the inseam of the pants is long enough to wear with heels and boots.
The infamous Bermuda has been making its way back in the fold over the last few summers, and rightfully so. They give so many options. a perfect distressed pair will have you grabbing for them every chance you get. They remind you of a boyfriend fit and pairs well with everything from blazers to tanks and even button up shirts. grab you a pair this summer and I promise you won’t regret it.
Crop Boot Cut
My newest exploration. This past winter I stumbled across the most amazing black cropped jeans and literally wore them with every western boot I owned. They quickly became a favorite and I went to buy all colors and shades. let’s just say, they are amazing. A great casual look for summer I cannot wait to style them with white chucks.
Oldie but Goodie. At this point skinny leg jeans will never go out of style, they are a wardrobe essential. For summer they casual, sexy, fun, chill. everything you need in pair of pants. The not so basic, basic. To spice it up a bit, opt for a super distressed pair, some with flowers, a vintage wash, a frayed hem or even a white or grey pair. Trust me it’ll be just the fun you need.
